Hislopia Journal

Policies of the Journal

Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. That its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities (tacitly or explicitly) at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

  • Double-blind Peer Review Policy

All submitted research articles are peer reviewed by the editorial board and experts in the related fields. The reviewers are provided with de-identified manuscript and evaluation forms. The papers would be published after necessary revisions based on the comments made by the referees. Once the manuscript reviews are received, the Editor will communicate the reviews and provide an overall assessment and recommendation for the manuscript. The decision of the editor will be final in this regard. The review process usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Ethics Policy

Contributors are expected to uphold a high standard of academic integrity and submit only original work that has not been published elsewhere. Any instance of data fabrication or falsification constitutes a serious violation of ethical academic conduct. In such cases, the paper will be retracted, and future publication will be subject to the discretion of the Editorial Board. Manuscripts reporting experimental research involving human participants must include a statement confirming that the research protocol was approved by the relevant institutional review boards or ethics committees and that all participants provided written informed consent. For studies involving human blood, tissue, or medical records, authors must ensure that the study was reviewed by an appropriate institutional review board or confirm compliance with the principles set forth in the Declaration of Helsinki (https://www.wma.net/policies-post/wma-declaration-of-helsinki-ethical-principles-for-medical-research-involving-human-subjects/).

  • Permissions

Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their paper. Any manuscript received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.

  • Competing Interests for Editors

Editorial Board Members, Guest Editors and Editors may submit their own manuscripts to the journal; however, these submissions will not be given any special consideration, and their editorial position will not affect the peer review process. In such instances, they will not be involved in handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists. Additionally, all Editorial Board Members, Guest Editors, and Editors are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and may be excluded from the peer review process if such conflicts arise.

  • Plagiarism Policy

There is a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) in our journal. It is the responsibility of the author/corresponding author to undertake plagiarism check before final submission of the manuscripts.
