ABSTRACT:

Intergenerational Solidarity (IS) is crucial in understanding social cohesion, familial relationships, and societal stability across generations. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of Intergenerational Solidarity research from 2014 to 2024 by analyzing publications indexed in Scopus using Scientific Procedures and Rationales for Systematic Literature Review (SPAR-4-SLR) using VOS viewer 1.6.20 mapped co-authorship, citation, co-occurrence, and co-citation networks to identify key trends, prominent researchers, collaborative networks and major themes in Intergenerational solidarity research. Findings indicate fluctuations in the annual publication output, with the United States and the United Kingdom emerging as the leading contributors. Karen L. Fingerman is the most impactful researcher based on publication volume and citation strength. Silverstein, M is the highly co-cited Author. Geographically, the U.S dominates in global research collaborations. This study highlights the growing scholarly interest in Intergenerational Solidarity, with substantial contributions from Western countries. However, the field remains dynamic, necessitating further exploration into emerging themes. Future research should integrate qualitative perspectives to enhance understanding and practical applications.
