Guidelines to the Authors

Electronic Submission

Paper submission is only through online mode on email editor@hislopiajournal.in and/or at https://hislopiajournal.in/manuscript-submission/

The papers submitted have not been published earlier or not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Research papers should be 2500–4000 words including figures or tables. Short communications should be between 1000 to 1500 words and letters to Editor should be 1 typed page.

The manuscript (MS) should be formatted in MS Word or LaTeX, using Times New Roman 12 pt. font for English submissions and Krutidev 50 16 pt. font for Devnagari scripts. It must be 1.5 line spaced with 1.5-inch margins on all sides and set on A4-sized paper.

Manuscript Template

The manuscript should have a title page that includes only the authors’ names and affiliations. The second page should contain the title and the research content.

The MS should begin with a relevant title typed in bold Sentence case. Title should be brief and concise.

It should be followed by author(s) name(s) and address (es) in sentence case letters. Names should not include titles and full names should be mentioned. The author should mention their affiliation in this chronological style:  The affiliation(s) of the author(s), i.e. institution, (department), city, (state), and country.

Affiliation should be mentioned as superscript numbers. Multiple affiliation should be mentioned as superscript multiple numbers corresponding to institutions. Corresponding author should be marked as superscript *. If available, the 16-digit ORCID of the author(s) may be mentioned

The E-mail ID of the corresponding author should be included in a separate line below the address.

All papers, except short communications, must begin with an abstract of no more than 200 words, formatted in bold. This should be followed by up to six keywords. Authors may also choose to submit a graphical abstract if desired.

For research papers, the main text should follow this structure: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Observations/Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments (if applicable), References, along with Tables, Figures, and Illustrations incorporated within the text. The Results and Discussion sections may be combined if necessary. It is recommended to follow this format for Short Communications and Review Articles as well.

Illustrations and photo-plates should be of high resolution and clear enough to be reproduced neatly and legibly.

All tables, figures and illustrations should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) with a title.

Reviewers

Authors are required to provide the details of two potential reviewers working on similar or related field (name, institutional affiliation and email address) at the end of the Manuscript.

Declaration

The author and the corresponding author must submit a declaration form confirming the authenticity and originality of the manuscript, along with the copyright transfer in the prescribed format. Additionally, all authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Use of generative AI tools for enhancement of manuscripts, table, image should also be disclosed.  Please note that submissions that do not include relevant declarations will be returned as incomplete.

Article Processing Charge

Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support the journal in covering the costs of peer review management, production, and online hosting. The APC will be collected only after the full review process is completed and the manuscript is accepted for publication by the editor. A fee of INR 1200 will be charged per paper. Publishing your research as open access in Hislopia journal ensures broad accessibility to a wider section of the scientific community.
